Examinations
Regular examinations are a vital part of your dental care and the most common reason for visiting us. If you’re feeling nervous about visiting the practice, please don’t worry. Our beautiful modern clinic and friendly staff will help put you at ease and can talk through as much or as little of the examination as you are comfortable with. We are kind, gentle and caring in our approach.

What will my examination involve?
We examine your teeth, gums, soft tissues and mouth, checking they are healthy and looking for any signs of decay or infection. At each examination, we also screen your mouth for indications of oral cancer. For younger patients, we check that teeth are growing as they should and watch for any signs that orthodontic treatment may be needed.
If we find any issues that require treatment, we create a bespoke treatment plan and discuss with you the best course of action and expected costs. You are very welcome to ask any questions at any point during your appointment.

Booking your appointment
Book online, give us a call or message us on WhatsApp. Once confirmed, we'll send you a short medical history form to complete at your own pace before you arrive.
Warm welcome
When you arrive, our reception team will greet you and help you settle into our calm, spa-inspired environment. Free parking is right outside the door.
Meeting your dentist
Your dentist will introduce themselves, ask about your dental history and listen to anything specific you'd like to discuss. No rush, no jargon, no judgement.
Your examination
We'll carry out a thorough check of your teeth, gums and overall oral health, including any necessary x-rays. Everything we find will be explained to you clearly as we go.
Personalised recommendations
Your dentist will talk you through any findings and next steps — whether that's a hygiene appointment, a small filling, or simply seeing you again in six months. You'll never be pushed into treatment you don't need.

Before you leave, we'll help you book any follow-up appointments and answer any questions about costs or membership plans.

Membership benefits
If you are a member of our dental plan, you will benefit from regular examinations. You will also receive discounts on our treatments and free emergency appointments when required. We look after the whole family, with children up to the age of 18 attend for free when their parent is on our Gold Reward or Gold Plus plan.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I see the dentist for an examination?
Ideally, you should visit for an examination appointment every six months, so we can take the best care of your teeth and gums. Some patients may be advised to attend more or less often, depending on your oral health. We will discuss this with you at your appointment.
Is a dental examination painful?
You may experience some mild discomfort, but it shouldn’t be painful. We take care to talk to you throughout the appointment, informing you which tools we are using and what to expect.
What happens if I need further treatment?
If we discover an issue that needs further treatment, we will need to see you for a specialised appointment. We will advise you when best to book the appointment for and give any instructions or advice for managing the issue in the meantime.
